The Vertical Injector will be applied for the installation and burial of power cables for i.e. offshore windfarms. Vroegh-edc performed the engineering and delivery of components for the rebuild of this ingenious machine. The scope of work also included the operations manual of the Vertical Injector.

Vertical Injector modification en operations manual
The Vertical Injector (VI) will be used for the installation and burial of power cables for i.e. offshore windfarms. The minimum bending radius (MBR) of the original tool was limited to 3m only. A modification was required to increase the MBR tot 5m.
Practical offshore operations manual
Vroegh-edc made the modification drawings, strenght analysis and supplied the required parts for the modification. Furthermore Vroegh-edc has written the operations manual in order to assemble and handle the Vertical Injector offshore from the cable installation vessel.
The written procedures with storyboard drawings lead to a well manageable operation.
