Floating sand and gravel factory.
Dekker Group in the Netherlands is dredging sand and gravel for the building and civil industries. This sand and gravel is being dredged with floating equipment. After being dredged the products are transported straight into a floating sand and gravel factory whereby the product is being sorted in different particle sizes. The products are being mixed and delivered on recipe to amongst others concrete manufactories and to civil contractors.
The floating sand and gravel classification factory is since 1997 successfully in use. Nevertheless, due to various modifications and renewal of installations in the past, the former drawings are outdated.

3D scanning and modelling of existing floating sand and gravel factory
For a large planned modification in the context of increasing production and sustainability, Vroegh-edc has executed a 3D scan of the floating sand and gravel factory. This 3D scan exists of a huge point cloud of the entire installation including all details. Based on this 3D scan, several 3D models can be generated of the existing installation which will serve as input for the various modifications which will be executed by Vroegh-edc later this year.
Vroegh-edc provided the 3D scan, performed the modelling of the existing installations and executes the engineering and design of the new installations including fitting and modifications towards the existing installation.
