Survey system.

A survey boat is used to map bottom profiles and depths. A sonar is suspended in the water for this purpose. This sonar must be positioned under the vessel with a certain degree of accuracy. Vroegh Construct B.V. has developed a fantastic system for this!

Hakkers B.V.

Customization

The survey system is custom-built and fully adapted to the “Atlas” of Hakkers B.V. The sonar head is mounted in a guidance system. An actuator allows the sonar head to be lowered below the waterline. When survey work is not being performed, the head will be retracted and remains fully protected between the bow bumper.

Light weight and compact design

The system is fabricated from aluminum and then durable anodized. This results in a very light weight and compact design for minimal drag in the water. The guidance system has virtually no play ensuring the sonar head always returns to its calibrated position.
