Special lifting tool for working platforms.
During the construction of a new jetty in Brunsbüttel, working platforms are used that are clamped to the tubular piles of the jetty. From these platforms, formwork is installed on top of the piles, into which a concrete pile cap is subsequently poured. After the concrete has been cast and the formwork removed, the working platforms are no longer required and are lifted away.

Development of the Lifting Tool
The platforms can no longer be lifted from above, as they are positioned a short distance beneath the concrete foundation. To solve this challenge, Vroegh-EDC developed a special lifting tool. From the initial concept and preliminary design through to engineering, production, load testing and SAT testing, Vroegh-EDC managed the entire process. The tool has therefore been fully tested, validated and is ready for safe deployment during project execution.
The lifting tool enables the platforms to be removed safely and is equipped with a function that allows the clamping bands of the working platforms to be released remotely.
Safety and Efficiency
The remote release function not only contributes to a shorter turnaround time for the lifting operations, but also significantly improves safety. Since the clamping bands do not need to be released manually, no personnel are required to be in close proximity to the lifting tool, making the operation considerably safer.
