Vroegh-edc designed for de Klerk a pontoon which functions as a car drop-off point in Hansweert (NL).
De Klerk Werkendam
Drawing package
The pontoon will be used to drop-off cars from inland vessels which can drive off the pontoon via a bridge to the mainland. The dimensions of the pontoon are 10m tall, 6m width and having a keel depth of approximately 2.5m. Two piles are used to keep the pontoon in position. Special pile frames are designed in order to guide the pontoon at varies water levels. Furthermore ladders, railings, fenders and sign frames were designed. Vroegh-edc delivered the complete drawing package.
Effective lead time
The pontoon is entirely modelled in 3D considering the fabrication sequence of the pontoon. Deck, watertight frames, bottom and walls are all modelled as sub- weld assemblies. By this way of working also the shop drawings were made resulting in a simplified building package resulting in a effective lead time of the pontoon fabrication process.
